We’ve been looking at ways in which we can help and support our hotel clients during these unprecedented times, both on a deeper client to client level, and in a wider hospitality industry context.

Recent days and weeks have been and will continue to be challenging, as hotels stay up to date & navigate official guidelines, continue to connect with their customers and boost incremental revenue where they can. And whilst we are beginning to see the green shoots of recovery, we know that hospitality businesses will be one of the last to fully exit the lockdown, due to the nature of the industry.

SK Chase works within the hospitality sector, where we work together with over 300 luxury hotels, providing the software and service that enables them to successfully sell their gift ‘experiences’ online.

We want to do all we can to help our clients generate immediate revenue now, whilst raising awareness of gift ‘experiences’ as lovely alternatives to more traditional gift choices, especially as people are seeking heartfelt gifts that can be purchased online, with no physical contact & delivery taken care of (either by post or e-Voucher).

As we’re in the business of building gift voucher stores and using our knowledge and data to inspire & optimize sales, it felt very natural for us to create a gift store ‘portal’ featuring a handpicked selection of the most popular luxury gift experiences.

We’ve also included a page sharing any hotels’ special offers, ranging from a percentage/amounts off to initiatives thanking the NHS and key workings. We’re noticing that hotels that have carefully created & sensitively promoted offers are performing well (for both vouchers as gifts and vouchers for personal use) and we’d like help extend their reach to a wider audience, making more people aware of some amazing voucher offers!

Whilst we know that luxury hotel gift vouchers aren’t a necessity, ‘gifting’ connects individuals; when people buy a gift, they are expressing love, thought and gratitude and as a society, we’ll continue to seek out things that bring joy.

Life is not on hold – it doesn’t pause. There are still birthdays, anniversaries, congratulations, and people looking for ideas to express their thanks or lift spirits (for others and themselves) and convey in some way to people that they miss and love them.

And gifting makes us feel good – it makes us happy – for both the person buying the gift and the person receiving the gift. And ‘feeling good’ and helping people feel good should not be underestimated at this time.

Though we are apart, we can still take pleasure in moments of happiness, hopefulness and love – we can still feel connected – together.
