Much of the last 12 months or so will of course be remembered for COVID-19 and the devastating impact it had on our communities, businesses and lives.

And yet through this time, we have witnessed tremendous generosity from many hospitality venues and been reminded of thoughtfulness and care towards others from clients we have the honour of working with, encouraging us to look beyond ourselves & our business and play a part in making a difference to peoples lives, where we are able.

We have been so proud to be able to witness and support heart-warming campaigns, whether it’s one thanking key workers for their continued work & commitment during the pandemic or a charitable initiative, helping others.

We want to shine the spotlight on a just a few of these initiatives today – we love them all!

‘Treat our NHS’ – 52 overnight stays were gifted at One Aldwych for people in the NHS, emergency service and care-work professions. Also included in each giveaway was a ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory afternoon tea’ and cocktails in the Lobby Bar.

‘Gift. Give. Enjoy’ campaign. For all monetary vouchers purchased, Dakota gave TWO additional vouchers (to the value of 25% of the original price) – one for the buyer and one for a nominated key worker of the buyer’s choice.

This initiative enables the buyer to gift a wonderful night and gives back to women through their charity partner ‘One Girl Can’, which is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty and impacting gender equality through education and mentorship in Kenya.

‘Our Turn To Care’ to thank NHS workers. An initiative to thank the heroes of NHS Scotland in a significant long term gesture of gratitude by donating 365 free room nights to healthcare workers each year for the next five years.

Launched several initiatives, including ‘Give a Gift of Gratitude – and a half!’ where buyers could say thank you to our NHS Heroes with a Gratitude Gift Voucher (Crerar donated an extra 50% of the value to show their thanks). This group also welcomed over 380 NHS key workers and their families to its venues to say ‘thank you’ for all of their efforts during the pandemic.

Celebrated its 155th birthday with surprise gifts for the city’s #everydayheroes made up of bus drivers, TfL workers, taxi drivers, couriers, street cleaners, delivery drivers, NHS staff, carers and many other key workers, who have been working tirelessly. The gifts included luxury Afternoon Tea gift boxes & overnight stay vouchers.
